Your stay at the Mews

Bedrooms

The cottage has two inviting bedrooms: one with a king-size bed and the other with a comfortable double. Both are dressed in crisp, white, hotel-quality linen, with plenty of pillows for a restful night’s sleep. Soft, fluffy towels are provided for all guests. The master bedroom also features a Smart TV, and both bedrooms offer storage for your belongings. There’s also space for a travel cot in the larger bedroom (cot not supplied).

Wifi

Enjoy fast broadband Wi-Fi throughout the cottage, keeping you connected during your stay.

Entertainment

There’s plenty to keep you entertained at The Mews, whatever the weather. Enjoy a selection of board games and playing cards, or relax with a good book from our collection, which includes reads for younger guests. The Smart TV is ready for you to log in to your favourite streaming services and enjoy a film or catch up on your favourite shows.

Heating and cooling

The cottage has central heating throughout, easily controlled via the smart thermostat on the wall. While there’s no air conditioning, each upstairs bedroom has a fan to help keep you cool on warmer days. For cosy evenings, the living area features a wood burner, with a supply of logs and kindling provided to help you get started.

Safety

Your safety and peace of mind are important to us. The cottage is fitted with smoke alarms upstairs and downstairs, along with a carbon monoxide detector downstairs. A fire extinguisher and fire blanket are also provided for use in an emergency.

Kitchen & dining

The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to feel at home during your stay. It features a Rangemaster range cooker with gas hob and grill, microwave, large fridge and separate freezer. For your morning coffee, there’s a Nespresso Vertuo machine with a selection of pods, along with a kettle and toaster.

You’ll find all the essentials for preparing and enjoying meals, including cookware, utensils, crockery, baking trays and cooking basics, plus tea, coffee and sugar.

The marble breakfast bar provides a lovely spot to eat or enjoy a morning coffee, with four stools and two extra stools stored in the cupboard. Wine glasses and tumblers are also provided for relaxing evenings.

Location

The Mews is perfectly situated close to the heart of Rottingdean village, just a 6-minute stroll from the beach and around an 18-minute walk from the beautiful South Downs National Park. Beacon Hill Nature Reserve is just around the corner, offering a wonderful spot for scenic walks with your four-legged friends. Brighton is only a 15-minute bus ride away, or you can enjoy a picturesque coastal walk along the Undercliff Path, with the sea as your companion all the way into Brighton.

Pets

We’re happy to accommodate one pet small to medium pet per stay for an additional fee of £30. 

Parking and outdoors

As The Mews is situated on a narrow village street, there is no private parking at the property. However, plenty of free on-street parking is available nearby, along with pay-and-display car parks within easy reach.
